Urolithin A as a gut microbiota-derived mitophagy activator: a systematic review of mechanisms, preclinical evidence, and human trials
· 2026
Abstract
Retrospective registration of a completed PRISMA 2020 systematic review of urolithin A (mitophagy activation, muscle and immune ageing, safety/pharmacokinetics, metabotypes, and preclinical efficacy). Data extraction was complete at the time of registration; this is a transparent retrospective record. Authors: Alaa Talal Qumsani; Mohamed E. Elbeeh (Umm Al-Qura University).
