Relation of angiosteosis in chronic kidney disease patients with fibroblast growth factor 23-Klotho axis
国际移植与血液净化杂志 · 2017
Abstract
Objective
To clarify the relation between fibroblast growth factor 23-Klotho axis and angiosteosis and to compare the differences between FGF-23 and Klotho in chronic kidney disease (CKD) patients.
Method
A total of 65 CKD staging 3-5 subjects without dialysis and 15 health cases were recruited in this study. The levels of FGF-23, Klotho and 1, 25-dihydroxy Vitamin D3 were detected by ELISA. Meanwhile, creatinine (CREA), calcium (Ca), phosphate (P), alkaline phosphatese (ALP), uric acid (UA), parathyroid hormone (iPTH) and other serum indicators were measured. The relations between FGF-23 and those indexes were analyzed.
Results
Serum FGF-23 elevated in CKD patients as renal function declining. Comparing to the control group, the results from different CKD staging had statistical significances within groups (P 0.05). However, regarding FGF-23, age, Ca×P, P and ALP, the differences between these two groups were statistically significant (P<0.05). The risk factors were analyzed via multivariable logistic regression analysis, suggesting age and P as main risk factors of angiosteosis (r value were -1.446 and -1.454; P values were 0.011 and 0.029).
Conclusion
Serum FGF-23 level was elevated significantly in CKD staging 3-5 patients, and the possible influencing factors were CREA, eGFR, P, Ca×P, IPTH and Klotho. The possible risk factors of angiosteosis were age and P.
